Upper Musselshell Museum Harlowton, MT
|
Exploring the Upper Musselshell Museum is like prowling around in someone's
attic or barn. Be careful, though. You may run into a full-size replica
of a dinosaur skeleton found in nearby Shawmut! There are also several collections
of fossils and bones, and a 2000-year-old buffalo skull. The two-story limestone
building, constructed in 1909, is filled with treasures that belonged to the people
who lived in, worked, and developed the Upper
Musselshell River country.

Castle Museum White Sulphur Springs, MT
|
'The Castle' is an imposing mansion built in 1892 by Bryon Roger Sherman,
and is now the home of the Meagher County Museum. The Victorian landmark is made
of hand-cut granite blocks hauled by oxen from the nearby Castle Mountains. The
museum is complete with period furniture, mineral samples, clothing and artifacts
from the region's past.
