On Saturday, November 8, visitors will have therare, once-a-year opportunity to tour both the downstairs home and the upstairs private family quarters at the Bair Family Museum. The unique and popular tour is offered for the dis
counted price of $3 for adults and no charge for 16 and under. The Bair Art Museum and Barn are free to the public during the Holiday Open House. Coffee, cider, hot chocolate and sweet treats will be served! In the art museum, the current special exhibit of Edith Freeman’s beautiful woodcut prints, Montana Seasons —will still be available for viewing.
The modest family quarters on the second floor of Bair home tell a very different story about the day-today lives of Charles, Mary, Marguerite and Alberta. “The first year we hosted 65 guests and last year we almost tripled that number with 166 visitors on Upstairs Downstairs Day,” states Museum Director Elizabeth Guheen. Visitors will view hats, clothing and personal items laid out only for this event,and the dining table will be set for holiday entertaining.
Join the holiday festivities near Martinsdale, Montana, at the Bair Family Home and Art Museum from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2014, for the Museum’s third annual Holiday Open House. Bair Family Museum memberships will be available, a perfect holiday gift for family and friends. Annual memberships support educational outreach, special exhibits and events.
